Bloc Party

Bloc Party [blɑk ˈpɑːti] est un groupe de rock alternatif indépendant britannique, originaire de l'Essex, Angleterre. Formé en 1999 autour du chanteur Kele Okereke, le groupe s'inspire musicalement des Smiths, Joy Division, Sonic Youth, The Cure, Mogwai, Siouxsie and the Banshees, Talking Heads et dans leur travail plus récent, Radiohead. Leur premier album Silent Alarm, sorti en 2005, est élu album de l'année par le NME.
